76 -- Sources Sought Notice - Global Trade Atlas SOL DOIGFBO190008 DUE 122018Dunning, JennaSOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS (NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION)The U.S. Geological Survey is seeking potential sources for access and subscription to online database of global trade of mineral-related commodities. Firms responding shall specify that their database meets the specifications provided below and provide detailed product information to show clear technical compliance. The online database must meet the following specifications:1. Interactive world trade database that provides import and export trade data for more than 80 countries using the most detailed level of each country┬┐s tariff schedule.2. Site license accessible by everyone in the National Minerals Information Center for unlimited access to online database, download, and analysis tools of global trade of mineral-related commodities.3. Provides timely data pertaining to globally-traded materials related to mineral commodities.4. Database interface is easily accessible and searchable with wide coverage of information pertaining to global trade.5. Access to monthly and yearly data frequency for all reporting countries for unlimited number of users.6. Includes both quantity and value data for imports, exports, and trade balance.7. Ability to interactively search trade data by keyword or HS code.8. Include unit conversion for quantity and value.9. Interactive queries should have the ability display at least 3 years of data including quantity, value, and unit value.10. The data should be able to be interactively sorted by the user by country,quantity, and value.11. When commodity data is queried, a description of the commodity should be displayed according to the Harmonized System or the 8 or 10 digit category.12. The user should be able to print, modify the scale and title, and save thechart image.13. Value data (export and import) is displayed for standard queries and be available for batch queries.14. Data can be download to an excel format.15. Data can be queried by a user specified period.16. User can query the data interactively.17. Users can save a query.All interested firms shall submit a response demonstrating their capabilities to provide the requested subscription to the point of contact below. Firms responding shall indicate their socioeconomic status (e.g. small business, service disabled veteran, woman/women owned, HUBZone, etc.). The Government's evaluation of the capabilities of respondents will factor into whether any forthcoming solicitation will be conducted.The NAICS code is 519130. The size standard is 1,000 employees.This is not a request for quotes. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on responses received under this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. This sources sought notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor willthe Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in responses to this notice. Respondents will not be individually notified ofthe results of any government assessments.All interested firms shall submit a capabilities package that explicitly demonstrates company capabilities and product specifications related to this effort.
