The scope of work for this procurement entails the Contractorproviding the facilities,personnel, services, tools, equipment and materials to deliverthe flight cryocooler in accordance with the Statement of Work, Specification andDeliverable ItemList and Schedule. These items will be provided with issuance of theRFP.We anticipate that this procurement will be a full and open competition.NASA/GSFC anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed-Price type contract for this effort with ananticipated award date of late April 2009.The Government does not intend to acquire commercial items using FAR Part 12.The North American Industry Classification System(NAICS) Code for this procurement is332420. The anticipated release date of theRFP is on or about January 5, 2009 with ananticipated offer closing date on or about February 4, 2009. The actual due date forreceipt of offers will be stated in the prospective RFP. Upon issuance of the RFP, allqualified responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by thisagency.
