The contract type is a firm-fixed price contract. Delivery shall be provided by 14-25 ton dump trucks, no 'end dump' trucks are acceptable. The temperature of the asphalt shall be between 290-300 degrees Fahrenheit leaving the plant and shall be placed with a minimum temperature of 230 degrees Fahrenheit; therefore, the plant shall be within a 30 minutes radius of the institution. The Contractor shall be capable of supplying up to 2000 tons of hot mix asphalt material per hour. The solicitation will be made available on or about May 16, 2012, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov.
