The purpose of this amendment is to make changes to the solicitation as follows(changes in bold):1. The language in section A.3 will change from: A.3 - Grass sod shall be certified 419 Bermuda and the contractor shall submitthe following documents or information in accordance with the table A.1 to the COR. The cemetery turf is predominately 419 Bermuda Grass. The sod will be delivered freshly cut, weed, disease, and insect free, and of healthy appearance with uniform color, leaf texture, and shoot density. Grass sod shall be relatively free of thatch, less than 0.5 inch (uncompressed). Grass sod shall be machinecut at a uniform soil thickness of 0.60 inch, plus or minus .25 inch, at the time of cutting. Measurement for thickness shall exclude top growth and any thatch. Irregular sized pads, broken pads, and torn or uneven ends will not be acceptable. Standard sized sections of grass sod shall be strong enough that it can be picked up and handled without damage. Grass sod shall not be harvested or transplanted when its moisture content (excessively dry or wet) may adversely affect its survival. The Government will issue a purchase order to the responsible quoter whose quotation conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.The following factors shall be used to evaluate quotations:TechnicalPricePast PerformanceEvaluation Approach. The Government will evaluate quotations based on a lowest priced, technically acceptable basis.Quotations may exceed minimum requirements of the solicitation. The Government reserves the right to select a quotation that provides benefit to the Governmentthat exceeds the minimum requirements of the solicitation, but is not required to do so. Each response must meet the minimum requirements of the solicitation. The Government is not requesting or accepting alternate quotations. The evaluation will consider the following:Technical: The quotation will be evaluated to the extent to which it can meet and/or exceed the Government s requirements as outlined in the solicitation and based on the information requested in the instructions to quoters section of the solicitation.
