CLOSING DATE: JANUARY 29, 2018 AT 2:00 P.M. PACIFIC TIME, SEATTLE, WA

The scopeof work includes both the design and the construction of modifications to existing USCG facilities. In general: In Hangar 1, USCG Base Kodiak demolish the existing high bay sprinkler and deluge systems, and install a new wet pipe sprinklerprotection and a high expansion foam (HEF) system. Replace the existing addressable fire alarm system with a Base Kodiak standard King Fisher conventional firealarm
system. Modify Building 24 to house fire pumping equipment. Install fire
suppression system piping between Hangar 1 and Building 24. Perform other
work; including environmental services, abatement, inspections and
assessments of existing facilities, demolition and restoration of affected
areas, including re-paving a parking lot affected by excavation.

The design effort will require Alaskan experience and/or registration for the Designer of Record, the Fire Protection Engineer (AK PE), environmental professionalmeeting the requirements of 18 AAC 75.333, and a Historic Professional.

Design/Build repairs to the Kodiak Hangar I Fire detection and protection systems, as described, at USCG Air Station Kodiak, AK. In Hangar I, demolish the existing ceiling deluge system, install new wet pipe ceiling sprinkler protectionand a high expansion foam (HEF) system. Replace the addressable fire alarm system with a base standard King Fisher conventional fire alarm system in Hangar I and Bldg 24.

Kodiak, Alaska is a remote location and is only accessible via air or marine vessels.

Payment and Performance Bonds will be required.

The estimated magnitude of this project is between $3,000,000.00 and$5,000,000.00.

This requirement is anticipated to be a Total Small Business Set-Aside.
